This Privacy Policy describes how Video Automation ("we", "us", or "the Service") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our software and connect third-party platform accounts such as TikTok.

1. Information we collect

When you connect a TikTok account to Video Automation via the official TikTok Login Kit, we receive and store the following information:

• Profile information from the user.info.basic scope: TikTok open ID, union ID, display name, and avatar URL.
• OAuth tokens (access token and refresh token) required to make authorized API requests on your behalf.
• Upload metadata: identifiers and status of videos you choose to upload to TikTok through our Service.

We do not collect your TikTok password. Authentication is handled entirely by TikTok.

2. Information we do not collect

• We do not access or store your TikTok followers, direct messages, or private content.
• We do not collect data from TikTok beyond what is required to display your connected account and upload videos you have explicitly approved.

3. How we use your information

• To display your connected TikTok profile inside the Video Automation dashboard so you can confirm the correct account.
• To upload videos that you have explicitly approved to your TikTok account as drafts using the video.upload scope.
• To maintain authentication sessions and refresh access tokens as needed.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is transmitted only between Video Automation and the official TikTok API.

5. Data storage and security

OAuth tokens and profile data are stored locally on your device and/or on infrastructure controlled by you. We use industry-standard practices to protect this data, including encrypted storage of access tokens.

6. Data retention and deletion

You may disconnect your TikTok account from Video Automation at any time. Upon disconnection, your stored OAuth tokens and profile information are permanently deleted. You may also request deletion of any remaining data by contacting us at the email below.

7. Children's privacy

Video Automation is not directed to individuals under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
